My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Firecracker is not hardly at all like her namesake! This young cat is a total lap cat and absolutely soaks up the calm and the chill. She is a dedicated lap cat and will sit on your chest and look deep into your eyes, giving you a slow, loving blink.

Firecracker is good with other cats and must find a home that already has a young cat or who is willing to adopt another one together with her. Indeed, she has siblings and would love to be adopted with one of them, most especially with her friend Tawny. She would be good with children who know how to interact respectfully with animals. Firecracker is easygoing and a social butterfly, and would likely do well in all types of homes, as long as there’s another cat for her to play with.

Little Firecracker is a loyal companion and prefers calm and relaxation. However, she is just a young cat, and what young cat wouldn’t be complete without a frequent play mode?! She loves herself some kicker toys and catnip mouse toys. When she’s done playing though, she’ll settle down for the latest episode of Cat TV, watch the real birds outside the window, or most preferably, come lie down on your lap or on your chest just to be near you, her favorite human.

You will be emailed a link to our online adoption contract. Simply fill it out online to transfer ownership from the rescue to you!

Once you complete the online application using the below link, you will be able to discuss and ask questions directly to the foster parent. We believe this is a big advantage to you as our organization is completely foster based, we really understand our cats personalities at a deep level. This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family.

Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue. Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten.

Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day. Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet. We recommend a pet carrier which opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier. If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day. If it is not possible for you to take your cat or kitten home the same day, we do charge a boarding fee of $10 per day for supplies and to encourage you to take your newly adopted cat home. We will board for a maximum of 3 days if needed to allow you time to get needed supplies.

Our adoption fees are listed at the link below. This fee includes full vetting, flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV test, microchip insertion, and vaccinations up to date for the kittens or cats age. We are able to PayPal or most major credit cards for the adoption fee.
