Meet Gabe, an adult dog with a heart full of love and a head full of smarts. He's a bit shy at first, needing time to adjust to new faces, but once he does, his playful side shines through. Gabe is a dog who loves to play, his intelligence making each game a joy to experience. He does require a board and train before adoption, but the reward is a loyal friend who will bring joy and companionship into your life. Adopting Gabe isn't just about giving a dog a home, it's about welcoming a new family member who will enrich your life with his playful antics and smart ways. REAL Rottweiler Rescue is covering the board and train, but we would love to find an adoptive family that could continue to work with him after completing all of his training. Gabe is the best boy, but unfortunately like many rescue pups probably did not have the easiest start to life so he needs a little extra work with his "stranger danger" behavior to learn that not all people are bad or scary.

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Submit an adoption application on our website. This is found under the "contact" tab.

2.
Approve Application

The adoption application is assigned to screening team and carefully screened. If application meets acceptable criteria it is then approved.

3.
Meet the Pet

Meet and greets are scheduled after an adoption application is approved. All family members and dogs in home must attend the meet and greet.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

If meet and greet goes well the pet can then be taken home for an adoption trial.

5.
Take the Pet Home

If meet and greet goes well the pet can then be taken home for an adoption trial.

Additional adoption info

Please allow between 7-10 days once your adoption application has been submitted to be screened. You will then receive a decision via email with further steps and who to contact if approved for adoption.

R.E.A.L Rottweiler Rescue was founded in 2003 by a couple with a passion and love for the Rottweiler breed. We are an all volunteer based 501c3 non-profit rescue organization. Our primary focus has been on Rottweilers, but we also rescue medium and large sized dogs of all breeds. We take in homeless rottweilers and work with them in our homes to assess personality, temperament, training and needs. Then place them up for adoption. Our goal is to find not just any home for each dog, but the perfect match for both the dog and its new family. To date, R.E.A.L. has had over 2000 successful adoptions!
