Buzz has no past or existing health issues, medication, or dietary restrictions. Although we’ve never tried it, we think he’d likely benefit from some anxiety medication. He has no issues using the litter box and loves using the litter robot, although he does just fine with a top-entry or a normal litter box. He does tend to “clean” the litter robot whenever it cycles, trying to push the waste into the trash drawer – this can tend to stall the cycle often, but Buzz has refused to believe that the litter robot can do a better job than he can. Since we do not have kids, we cannot say for certain how exactly Buzz would behave in their presence. Buzz can be extremely timid when it comes to loud/unfamiliar noises and new people, but he warms up with consistent respect for his space and loves to approach people on his own terms. He is extremely docile and submissive, and “plays possum” by staying very still whenever he’s forced to do something he doesn’t want (usually getting his nails trimmed). Buzz has done well warming up to other pets in the few times where we have pet sat for friends’ cats. He takes several days to warm up, and can be avoidant for the first few days, particularly if the cat is higher energy/extremely friendly. However, he’s never picked a fight with another cat, in line with his usual behavior. Buzz is very bonded to Bart, and they often cuddle on the couch when they are home alone or at night. They are undoubtedly a package deal. Buzz enjoys human interaction on his own terms; he spends most of the day sleeping and becomes much more social in the evenings. He likes cuddling on the couch or jumping into bed best, and also enjoys being petted (including on the tummy) and getting brushed. He doesn’t love being picked up – but he won’t fight it, either. Buzz is less food motivat
