When he was rescued from a cat colony, Herb was a friendly cat we knew would do well adopted into a home. He is shy and will need time to get comfortable. He likes pets and head scratches and is quick to purr in response. His foster family helps him get used to being held by holding him for short periods. He's getting there. While Herb is fine with kids, dogs, and other cats, he will most likely thrive in a quieter home. Herb and his littermate Peaches are a bonded pair that we feel should remain together. An adoption coordinator will call to complete a phone interview.

Adoption coordinator will call personal and veterinarian references.

Pets may be in foster homes or at the Traverse City Pet Smart cattery to meet potential adopters.

We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) all-volunteer, foster-based cat rescue serving the greater Traverse City area and surrounding counties. Our mission is to help cats and kittens in the greater Traverse City region through rescue, spay/neuter, fostering, adoption, education and community collaboration.
