My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ainsley & Phoebe: The Sweetest Mom-and-Daughter Duo Looking for Their Forever Home

Get ready to fall in love with the ultimate pair: Ainsley and Phoebe! Their bond is nothing short of magical. Though not related by blood, their dynamic is pure love — Ainsley is the doting momma figure, and Phoebe is her playful, adoring baby. These two have brought so much comfort and joy to each other in foster care, and now they’re ready to bring that same love into your home!

When they’re not snuggling with each other, you’ll find them cozying up with their foster mom or entertaining the resident cats. Ainsley is the ultimate nurturer — she grooms Phoebe, keeps her entertained, and shows her the ropes of being a happy, loved kitty.

Meet Ainsley
Ainsley is a stunning 3–4-year-old, 6-pound sweetheart with a big heart and an unforgettable personality. She’s been waiting patiently for her forever home since May 2023, and we just know the perfect family is out there for her.

Her journey hasn’t been easy. After a tough start to life and being surrendered from her first adoption, Anya returned to us with an infected eye and a shaky trust in humans. But thanks to the care and love she’s received, she’s thriving in foster care. Ainsley's eye is healed (she’s now a charming one-eyed beauty!), and her playful spirit has blossomed.

Her favorite accessory? Her tongue! Her adorable “blep” will keep you smiling every day.

Ainsley is shy at first, but once she trusts you, she’ll show off her flirty, belly-rub-loving personality. She loves to nap, sunbathe, and curl up next to you (or behind you on the couch) for TV time. She’s a pro at entertaining herself with wand and catnip toys, too!

Meet Phoebe
Phoebe is an 5-month-old bundle of energy and joy who’s ready to take the world by storm! The moment she arrived at her foster home, she hopped into her foster mom’s lap, purred up a storm, and claimed her place as the queen of the household.

At home, Phoebe is fearless, playful, and incredibly sweet. She loves other cats, her foster siblings, and especially her beloved stuffies, which she carries around like prized treasures. Mealtime is her favorite event, and she’s not shy about letting you know when she’s hungry — her tiny, dramatic “feed me” screams will melt your heart!

This little lady loves to snuggle when playtime is over and will bring endless love and laughter to her forever home. She is shy on first meeting but opens up once she feels safe.

Why They’re Better Together
Phoebe and Anya are more than just companions; they’re soulmates. Watching them interact — whether it’s cuddling, grooming, or playing — will fill your home with warmth and joy. They’ve been a comfort to each other through thick and thin, and we would love to see them continue this beautiful bond in their forever home.

They would thrive in a home with other cats and could do well with a mellow dog with a proper introduction.

If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this incredible duo, don’t wait! Anya and Phoebe are ready to shower you with love, snuggles, and endless adorable moments.

Anya is vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies, Neutered, FeLV / FIV negative, and microchipped. Phoebe is microchipped, FeLV / FIV negative, spayed and vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies.

To apply for Anya and Phoebe, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the animal is on our website, they are still available.

Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable cat, or final size of any of our adoptable kittens. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the cat into our rescue.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

STEP 1: Apply!
Download and complete an ADOPTION APPLICATION from www.waggytailrescue.org/adopt-a-waggytail

STEP 2: The Meet and Greet!
We strongly suggest the ALL members of the household come to the meet and greet. This is the time to determine whether a dog's personality is match for you, your family and your other animals, and if you have allergies. If everything goes well you may adopt the same day, or take a day or two to decide, but we cannot indefinitely hold dogs in foster care for you.

STEP 3: Contract and Donation!
Fill out and sign the TRANSFER AGREEMENT.

The DONATION FEE may be paid by Venmo (@WaggytailRescue) or Paypal (waggytailrescue@gmail.com, add $15 processing fee). Please put the name of the dog in the memo section! Electronic payment is preferred!
You may also pay by check (payable to Waggytail Rescue), however processing of adoptions may be delayed by up to 2 weeks.
If your new buddy is not yet neutered, a $100 refundable deposit must be paid at adoption.

Dog Donation Fees
(includes microchip registration, age appropriate vaccines, and neuter)

$550 for puppies under 1 year
$450 for dogs 1 to 8 years
$325 for seniors over 9 years of age

Please add an additional $15 when paying by PayPal to cover processing fees.
