Meet Gabby!
Gabby is a 10-year-old, 7-pound chihuahua mix from Texas with a delicate, fairy-princess charm. This quiet, sweet girl is adjusting to her new life in Brooklyn and growing more confident every day. Gabby’s greatest joy is snuggling up with her favorite human on the couch and being a loyal, tiny shadow around the house.
Household Needs:
Gabby is house-trained but may have a few accidents as she learns the ropes in her new home. She’s smart and eager to learn, though she’s still shy about taking treats from her foster mom’s hand. With patience and gentle encouragement, Gabby will thrive with basic training and build trust.
Leash & Crate Life:
Gabby walks well on a leash but is still a bit unsure of the bustling city. Coming straight from Texas into a cold winter hasn’t been easy, but warmer weather and a little time will help her blossom into a confident little explorer. She’s crate-trained, loves her cozy crate for rest or quiet time, and feels secure there when you’re out.
Ideal Home:
Gabby is looking for a calm, low-key family who will continue to nurture her confidence and enjoy lots of cuddle time. She’s happy as an only dog but may also do well with a mellow canine companion. Due to her delicate nature, we recommend a home without children, or older children who can understand and appreciate boundaries.
If you’re ready to welcome this gentle, curious, and loving little girl into your life, Gabby will repay you with endless snuggles and devotion.
To apply for Hunter, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the animal is on our website, they are still available.
Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the dog into our rescue.
