Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Opal is a very affectionate Holland Lop girl who recently arrived at Bunny Lu. She has heterochromatic eyes with a very interesting blue and brown coloring. She also boasts a beautiful chinchilla colored coat. Opal was born in November of 2021.
Opal was originally surrendered to Bunny Lu when a family member saw the inadequate living conditions that she and her siblings were being kept in. This included being locked in a cage outdoors, being kept in extremely dusty conditions, and going for very long periods between nail trims. Before she was cooped up, though, she used to be an indoor free-roaming bunny. During that time, she was extremely curious, active, and playful! One of her favorite activities is to zoom, so it is extremely heartbreaking to know she was eventually trapped in a small cage without very much human contact.
If you're interested in meeting Opal, please reach out and we can help get the process started.

More about this rescue
Bunny Lu Adoptions, Inc. is a volunteer, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) domestic rabbit rescue and education organization located in Waynesboro, Virginia. We are dedicated to educating people about the joys of having a house rabbit(s) companion and promoting care that will give those companions the best chance at a happy, healthy, long life.
Bunny Lu also provides temporary foster care to abandoned and neglected rabbits and arranges adoptions into loving, indoor, forever homes. While we do not condone the surrendering of rabbits, we understand that providing assistance to those people trying to improve their rabbits' quality of life sometimes requires finding a new home for the rabbits.
