Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ziggy, who has since been renamed as Baby Doll, is a mini-plushie rabbit who was transferred to Bunny Lu from a shelter. When we agreed to take her in, we were informed that she had an eye condition that did not appear to be causing her significant distress. However, upon bring her in, it became clear that the condition was much more serious than originally thought. After many, many visits to the vet and multiple surgeries, she has had to have both of her eyes removed in order to reduce the pain caused by inflammation behind both eyes.

She has adapted extremely well to life without sight, and she is still able to hop around and search in every nook and cranny for treats! We truly believe that she would do great with a bunny partner who can help her navigate her surroundings.

More about this rescue

Bunny Lu Adoptions, Inc. is a volunteer, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) domestic rabbit rescue and education organization located in Waynesboro, Virginia. We are dedicated to educating people about the joys of having a house rabbit(s) companion and promoting care that will give those companions the best chance at a happy, healthy, long life.

Bunny Lu also provides temporary foster care to abandoned and neglected rabbits and arranges adoptions into loving, indoor, forever homes. While we do not condone the surrendering of rabbits, we understand that providing assistance to those people trying to improve their rabbits' quality of life sometimes requires finding a new home for the rabbits.
