This little girl is new to Etobicoke and is ready to meet her forever family! Betty is a playful kitten who loves to wrestle with her brother Archie. Due to her past as a stray, she can be quite cautious around humans and is still warming up to being petted, but she is making progress every day and loves long play sessions and posing for the camera!
ABOUT BETTY: -In foster -Kitten, domestic shorthair, female -Betty and her brother Archie were previously strays before arriving at EHS after being transferred from another local shelter. -Betty is a skittish cat who has had minimal experience with humans. -With the help of a foster family, Betty is on a journey to adapt to a new environment and become more comfortable around people. -Though Betty can be a bit more timid around humans than her brother, their foster family says she is constantly exploring and is always ready for a new experience. -You’ll often find Betty curled up with Archie on a warm, cozy spot. -Kittens, like Betty, have lots of energy! -Betty loves a good time and her favourite toy is her green slinky. You can also catch her playing with a wand and laser toy but that slinky will not be far behind! -Betty will be spayed, and is microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, and up to date on core vaccinations.
BETTY’S IDEAL HOME: -Kittens require ample and mindful stimulation, through play, from their humans. -It is important that Betty either go to a home where there is already a feline-friendly cat in residence, or be adopted with Archie or another compatible shelter animal. -A skittish cat will benefit from a calm, quiet environment, preferably without small children. -Potential adopters should be prepared to commit the time, effort, and patience required to help Betty settle into her new environment. EHS will provide post-adoption support to assist Betty with a successful transition to her forever home.
