Doo-Dah entered Baldwin Park Animal Care Center as a stray. When he wasn't claimed, we scooped him up on January 13th to become a Frosted Face. Doo-Dah is estimated to be 12 years old and weighs 18 lbs. He is a very sweet and fun boy!
Doo-Dah earned a rave review from a volunteer who took him on an afternoon outing of hiking with friends and their dogs.
Here's what we learned:
* Rides in the car calmly and curls up
* Super social and calm: Doo-Dah was super polite during introductions to both people and their two senior chihuahuas. He had zero reactivity to anything or anyone and he encountered people, dogs, horses and bicycles.
* Quiet and polite: Doo-Dah's only vocal moment was letting his companion know when he was ready for his next burger bite!
* Affectionate and easy-going: Doo-Dah loves belly rubs and pets.
* Great hiker: Doo-Dah hiked 4.5 miles!
Doo-Dah went on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we could learn what he is like in a home.
With assistance from his Fling Mom, Doo-Dah sent this message:
"I would be happy with any size family. I love playing with other fur babies, so if you don’t have any, maybe we could go on some play dates.
In the mornings, I like snuggling and massages. My feet aren’t ticklish, so I enjoy feet rubs as well. The more pets and hugs throughout the day, the better.
Walks are super fun. If you have the time, more than one a day would be wonderful! They don’t have to be long. I just love all the smells, especially flowers. I never pull on my leash. My fling mom right now dresses me in a harness for comfort, plus, I look extra adorable in it.
If you have company dropping by, I’m a great greeter. I promise not to bark. I will wag my tail and let them pet me as much as they’d like.
I know I would make the best addition to your family. Please send Frosted Faces a message, and let them know when you would like to come meet me. I’ll be waiting!
Love, Doo-Dah"
Doo-Dah is back on-site and ready for his forever home. Might it be with you?
To meet this sweet boy, please drop by between 10 AM and 3 PM any day of the week, or email placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org to schedule an appointment.
