Journey is a sweet and loving girl who adores being with her person. She thrives on cuddles and snuggles and is happiest when she’s in your lap or close by. When you’re busy, she’s content to relax in her dog bed or crate. Journey has a low energy level, with occasional playful bursts, like chasing other dogs briefly in the yard.

This food-loving girl is known for her adorable spins as she eagerly heads to her crate for meals. She’s fed in her crate using a slow feeder, getting 1/4 cup in the morning and evening. She is house and crate trained. She does best on a consistent schedule going out every 4-5 hours. Journey loves sniffing around the yard and enjoys short leash walks. Journey does well with other calm dogs, though she doesn’t engage in much play due to her age. Journey has been around dog-savvy children (ages 7 and 9) and tolerated gentle petting but didn’t engage with them much. She would do best in a home with older kids or no children.

Journey is missing one eye, but this doesn’t affect her happy, adaptable nature. It took her just a day to warm up in her foster home, where she has proven to be an easy and loving companion. If you’re looking for a low-energy, affectionate dog who loves to snuggle and relax by your side, Journey is the perfect match!

Additional adoption info

Our adoption fee is $525 for dogs under 1 year old, 475 for dogs 1 – 5 years old, and 425 for dogs 5 years and older. The adoption fee covers vaccinations (Rabies, Bordatella, DAPP), de-worming, vetting, transport and, per MA and NH law,a minimum 48 hours of quarantine after transport. Dogs that are old enough at the time of transport will also be spayed or neutered.

Application requires: Written Application, 2 references, proof of home ownership/landlord permission, vet reference, home visit

Our mission at Last Hope K9 Rescue is to save every possible dog we can from being euthanized within high-volume kill shelters throughout the U.S.

As the literal “last hope” of nearly every animal we serve, we work tirelessly to place each one within a stable, loving environment that can act as either their forever home, or the gateway to their forever home. We also strive to ensure that all of our adoptions and foster placements are the optimal fit for everyone involved, including our dogs.
