My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adopt Blueberry (aka Mocha)!

Meet Blueberry, lovingly nicknamed Mocha! This sweet girl has come such a long way and is now ready to find her forever home. Once shy and wary of humans, Mocha now happily accepts pets and adores snuggling for hugs. She’s a playful spirit who loves running laps (especially when food is involved!) and enjoys her toys and bones.

Mocha is making excellent progress with potty training—she goes outside with the dog pack and uses pee pads when needed. She’s a quick learner and loves to please her people.

Mocha's ideal home is a calm environment with a fenced-in yard where she can safely enjoy the outdoors. She thrives with set meal times (no grazing for this girl!) and needs an adopter who understands she’ll require decompression timeto settle into her new home. She will take time to trust you, but with patience and love, she’ll blossom.

Mocha gets along well with other dogs, especially quiet companions, but she would do best in a home without puppies, hyper dogs, or young children. She’s not yet leash-trained, so her adopter will need to be committed to helping her build confidence with the outside world. Mocha isn’t a fan of crates but does well in a pen for safety when needed.

This gentle girl has a big love for treats (she’ll remind you if you forget!) and enjoys both dry and wet food. She’s obedient at nap and bedtime and will let you know if she needs something with her endearing vocalizations.

If you’re seeking a calm and patient companion and are excited to help Mocha continue to blossom, she might just be the perfect match for you!

Go meet their pets

Our rescues are with fosters on the east coast. The location in which the foster resides should be listed with each profile.

We are setting up some adoption events now, but are free for private meet and greets if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets!

More about this rescue

We have a passion for senior animals. To be able to save an animal from dying alone in a shelter, to give it a chance to live out its last days/months/years in a home with the proper care and love it deserves, instead of a cold shelter, is what drives us to keep going.

We obviously have financial needs that come with rescuing senior dogs, so we will be rescuing puppies and younger dogs as well so we are able to care for our seniors.
