Meet Tyson - this happy-go-lucky lab charms with his full body wag and Doby-the-house-elf ears. He is so excited to be around humans that he can hardly contain himself. A fast learner, he taught himself the dog door in a flash, is mastering SIT like a champ and runs on praise though he’d happily take treats for encouragement too. He is housebroken, behaves on his walks and is thrilled with anything that looks like it could be fetched. This guy needs his people - he will be your absolutely devoted companion and love you with every fiber of his being if you just give him a chance to show you how good a boy he is.
Tyson has some “oh my gosh, living ina home is the best so it’s all mine!!” With other dogs, so he will need to learn to incorporate himself into a home with other dogs so he’s not being a resource guarder. With some time and patience and good training reinforcement we’re sure he can learn his things are here to stay, bur his ideal family would either know how to help him feel at ease about guarding things or would not have other dogs.
If you love Labradors, then you need to meet Tyson! This smiling pup came to us from Oklahoma and is thought to be around 2 years old. Tyson dances on his front two feet at his kennel door when you come to give him some love. He has Lab energy but is great on a leash and is good about not jumping up on people. Tyson is the kind of dog that is going to love a place to run and play and people to go adventuring with! Apply for Tyson and come meet him at our Wellington location!

Over 75% of our dogs are in foster homes along the front range. The foster will get in touch to schedule meetings for their foster dog. Meetings will happen in/near their homes since that is where the dog is the most comfortable. We do want you to bring family members (human and dog) to the meeting! Dogs who are currently at our Windsor facility will have meetings there and a volunteer will reach out to schedule those meetings with you. Please be aware that we do not place our dogs on a first come, first served basis, but rather a best-fit placement. Never fear, applications are valid for a year so if the first dog you meet isn't a good fit, we will have plenty of time to find one that is.
