My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Magpie is a sweet, mischievous cat that loves nothing more in the world than treats. Once shy about petting, he’s since become a big fan after learning it often leads to treats and attention. He now solicits petting with the most adorable leg rubbing, following his humans around the room asking for them. Even though he’s taller than his siblings, Magpie is still very much a kitten and acts accordingly. He’s incredibly playful and energetic, often living up to his name by flying through the air while pursuing his cat dancer.

Once playtime is over, though, Magpie loves his naps and takes them in the most adorable poses you’ve ever seen. If you’re lucky, he’ll even cuddle up to you while getting his beauty rest, and he’s been known to tour a human lap or two. Magpie is a natural caretaker to humans and cats alike, but he’d be best in a home with other cats. Magpie is very good with other kitties and spends most of his day grooming them, playing with them, cuddling them, and comforting them if they’re down. He has had friendly interactions with the household dog and may do well in a home with one, but he’d like a feline friend to hang out with to balance out the canine.

Magpie has lived in a home with older children and adults. He is still learning how to play gently and he can be shy about being lifted up and held. For this reason, a home with older, cat savvy children would be best. Magpie is also prone to making his own entertainment if things get dull, so he needs a lot of playtime and humans that don’t mind doing a little cat proofing around the house.  This cat is indoor only and he lives in Sandy with his foster family.  Rehoming fee is $50

Adoptable cats and kittens are shown on our website with detailed profiles and pictures. More about this rescue

Cat's Cradle Rescue keeps cats out of shelters by offering an alternative to a cage - we are a no-kill FOSTER-HOME BASED rescue group that welcomes cats to our home environments as they await adoption.

Why Foster Care? Does your new kitty like children? Does she play with dogs or find other felines too uncomfortable to be around? Does he have consistent litter-box manners? Does he want to cuddle or perhaps his comfort zone is to be more independent. Many life-factors influence cat behavior and while genetics plays a role, we know that human touch, kindness, nurturing and consistency of care are non-negotiable requirements. We provide all of this.
