Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This loving, handsome boy is such a snuggler! Archie is estimated to be about 4 years old and weighs 80 pounds.
Archie is a sweet, affectionate, gentle giant. He is bursting with love and just wants to share it with his forever family. Those who meet him are quickly won over by his loving nature and his big brown eyes. Of course, he does have a silly side and seems to love the snow, he got the cutest little zoomies! Archie is a great walker on leash for such a big boy and will happily join you on long strolls around the neighborhood. He is a true cuddle bug and loves nothing more than to curl up on the couch with his favorite people, especially if it involves a belly rub! He is the best of both really, he seems to be more of a couch potato type, but also loves a nice walk with a little romp in the snow. Giving you his paw is about the sweetest thing ever which he does quite frequently, he has a perfect sit and also takes his treats ever so gently. A family that is home a lot would be his dream as he just loves to be with people.
Archie really wants to please you, he is such a good boy. He can be a little insecure though and needs to be able to rely on his person for leadership. He does need to be the only dog in the home as he likes to have his people all to himself. He seems fine with casual contact at a distance from other dogs and has been successful at a doggy day care. Archie is such a connecting, loving, big baby of a pup and will make someone or some family such a wonderful best friend. He will need a home where any children are at least 4 years old.
If you are interested in Archie and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend!
*Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*
