*** Billy is at The Cat Cafe in downtown San Diego .***
Billy: gray tabby, short hair, neutered male, born approx. 1/1/23, #19490
Cats: likely good Dogs: unknown Children: older savvy kids
BACKGROUND: Billy showed up at an apartment complex where a former volunteer lives among a group of animal-loving neighbors. Billy was quickly making friends with all the tenants, rolling over for belly rubs as he went from person to person and making use of the shelter they built for him, but they knew he deserved a better life with his own dedicated family and home. Billy moved into Rescue House foster care and is now ready to make that happen!
PERSONALITY: Billy is still a kitten at heart and is very playful: he especially likes small toy mice and soft shiny sparkle balls that he can pick up, carry, and toss. When you’re ready to play, too, Billy would be thrilled if you break out a wand toy that has some feathers on it. He’ll show off his running and jumping skills for you! Catnip brings out the crazies and Billy will roll all around in it. Billy is happiest when he’s in your company no matter what you are doing. He likes his back and chin scratches, a good brushing, and he’ll get on your lap for short bursts. He’ll run at you when he’s feeling playful, hoping you’ll be ready to indulge him. You certainly won’t be bored with Billy!
COMPATIBILITY: Billy’s nature suggests that he could do well with other playful cats once given an intro though he was not around any in foster care. We don’t know about dogs. Older respectful children who play with him would likely become good friends; they just need to understand that Billy uses his mouth during play sessions and can sometimes grab at a person, but he is very gentle and never bites down.
With love in his heart and a bounce in his step, Billy is ready to meet his special people… you?
