Foster cat`s bio for their adoption profile: Cornbread was found in a chicken coop by new property owners. He had an upper respiratory infection that impacted his ability to hunt and eat. He was underweight but after medication to help his respiratory infection he has since developed a huge appetite and gained a lot of weight. After a couple of weeks he was healthy enough to vaccinate but we are still working on resolving his symptoms completely. He also has ear infections but we hope that`s fixed soon as well. Cornbread is skittish and may hiss in reaction to sudden movements but is truly a sweetheart with a monster purr, he just allows fear to get the better of him sometimes and will need a home willing to be patient with his shyness. He absolutely loves other cats and may be best in a quieter home at this time. Cornbread was found with his friend Coconut who will hopefully also soon be ready for adoption

More about this rescue
Since 1996 SCAT Street Cat Rescue's prime focus has been feral cats because of the limited options available for them. TNR is a successful option instead of the traditional trap and kill. The majority of the cats rescued by SCAT, however, are socialized and available for adoption. As the city grows, so to does the need for our services. Adopt, Donate, Volunteer, TODAY!
