Foster cat`s bio for their adoption profile: Coconut had a lot to overcome when she was found in a chicken coop by new property owners. She had an upper respiratory infection that impacted her ability to hunt and eat. She was severely underweight but with medication and lots of good food and care she was able to rebound fairly quickly. After a couple of weeks she was healthy enough to vaccinate and she will be spayed very soon. She is still sneezing but we hope that she will soon be ready for adoption. Coconut is a sweet girl who likes to snuggle and play. She has a folded over ear from her previous exposure to freezing temperatures and she may always be small from early malnutrition. She is excellent with other cats. She is a bit skittish of new noises so would likely need time to adjust to busy households or children. She was found with her friend/brother Cornbread who also will hopefully be ready for adoption soon as well.

More about this rescue
Since 1996 SCAT Street Cat Rescue's prime focus has been feral cats because of the limited options available for them. TNR is a successful option instead of the traditional trap and kill. The majority of the cats rescued by SCAT, however, are socialized and available for adoption. As the city grows, so to does the need for our services. Adopt, Donate, Volunteer, TODAY!
