Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Max - 9 months and 76 lbs of joy! This Retriever / American Pit Bull mix is the most loving of pups, always ready to sit in your lap!
This boy loves to play hard and nap hard. He is housetrained and crate trained and does great on a leash. Max loves to be outside running around. His favorite things to do are to play tug of war, carry his toys everywhere, and we just found out he loves the snow! He is very treat oriented and not shy to tell you when he wants one. Max has so much love to give, he will sit on your feet in the kitchen while you cook just to be close to you and also loves to snuggle with you on the couch. He enjoys belly rubs and will snore when he is completely relaxed and tired out! He has not been around small children or cats, so we cannot say how he will do with them. He has been around other dogs and loves to play, however, does not necessarily know his own size and strength which is problematic for smaller dogs.
If you are looking for an affectionate and loving boy to keep your days filled with fun and laughter, Max is your boy!
Max is participating in The Love Pit's iRehome program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster. All behavior and medical information is provided by their caretaker, and TLP encourages all adopters to verify the information with their caretaker prior to adoption.

Adopting from The Love Pit means gaining a family member. It means gaining a network of pit bull advocates, ready to support you and provide you with all of the resources we can. Most importantly, adopting from The Love Pit saves lives. When you adopt, you're saving the life of your own dog, opening space in their foster home for another shelter dog in need, and creating space in the shelter kennel for a dog whose life would have otherwise been on the line. Your thanks for all the good you've done? Lots of love and pit bull kisses to enjoy for years to come.
