My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet our fluffy old man Mr. Silas! This kid is full of love and has the most laid back attitude even when he is around his other dog friends. Silas is a super sociable dog who loves people, dogs, cats and many other animals that he has met. On the occasion this couch potato will get small zoomies and the sight will make you fall in love instantly! This dog is truly adaptable and could do well in a variety of homes!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Lake Norman Humane utilizes a conversational approach to the adoption process to help find the best match for your household. Please stop in to speak with an adoption counselor Tuesday-Friday between 12:00PM-6:00PM and on Saturday between 12:00PM-4:00PM.

Go meet their pets

We welcome visitors during our business hours:

Tuesday–Friday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Saturday: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Please note that the last tours are taken back 30 minutes before closing.

No appointment is needed to stop by during these hours! Upon arrival, you’ll complete a short adopter profile, and our team will pair you with an adoption counselor to help find your perfect match.

We offer same-day adoptions, but if you have a dog at home, we require a meet-and-greet to ensure compatibility.

Our facility is located at:
2106 Charlotte Hwy, Mooresville, NC 28117

We look forward to helping you find your new furry family member!
