My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet this beautiful brindle baby named Topher! He is a shy boy who takes some time to get comfortable enough to play but he will slowly approach everyone for some good head scratches. Topher's confidence is still growing and each day we see more and more of his playful side! When he plays with other dogs he likes them to be gentle with a touch of running in the mix but this kid is truly a people dog! An ideal home for Topher would be with someone up for lots of cuddles and calm home life!

Lake Norman Humane utilizes a conversational approach to the adoption process to help find the best match for your household. Please stop in to speak with an adoption counselor Tuesday-Friday between 12:00PM-6:00PM and on Saturday between 12:00PM-4:00PM.

Go meet their pets

We welcome visitors during our business hours:

Tuesday–Friday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Saturday: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Please note that the last tours are taken back 30 minutes before closing.

No appointment is needed to stop by during these hours! Upon arrival, you’ll complete a short adopter profile, and our team will pair you with an adoption counselor to help find your perfect match.

We offer same-day adoptions, but if you have a dog at home, we require a meet-and-greet to ensure compatibility.
