My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Meet Suzie Bishop: Your Future Feline Friend!**

Introducing Suzie Bishop, an independent orange kitten named after the heroine in Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom. With her soft orange coat and curious eyes, Suzie embodies the adventurous spirit of her namesake.

She’s a little dreamer, always ready to explore her surroundings, whether it’s chasing after a feather toy or settling into your lap for a nap while you read and listen to records. Suzie has a playful yet gentle demeanor, making her the perfect companion for both solo adventures and cozy evenings.

She gets along well her siblings Clementine and Flint Lockwood, but also has befriend the older resident cats and dog. Suzie would thrive in a home with other friendly pets or as a solo kitty. She enjoys companionship but tends to prefer the company of people. If Suzie is the only pet, she would do best with someone who has a schedule that allows for plenty of love and attention.

She is a gal who loves all and adores being around people, having a knack for bringing a smile to anyone’s face.

Fun fact: Only 20% of orange cats are females!

If you’re looking for a observant addition to your family that’s full of personality and charm, Suzie Bishop is ready to join your story.

Adopt Suzie today and embark on a delightful journey together!

Suzie is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.

Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

Additional adoption info

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
