Mr. Peanut says hi there! This handsome boy was found on the streets of Northwest Houston with no tags and no microchip! When no one could be found to claim him as their baby, ATDR was called and of course we said yes! He's now sharing life in a comfortable foster home, learning the ropes and getting to know his bunkmates! His foster mom reports that he's a happy boy who loves to play fetch and gets along well with all the people and other pups in the house!
If you're looking for a great little guy to love and share life with, please submit an adoption application for Mr. Peanut! He promises to keep a smile on your face while being the best little friend and companion you could ever hope to find!

All Texas Dachshund Rescue, Inc., is made up of a group of volunteers whose primary goal is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home disabled and otherwise endangered Dachshunds who have found themselves homeless for one reason or another. It is our policy that no dogs will be adopted out without first being spayed or neutered, have had all vaccines updated, are heartworm negative, are on heartworm preventative, and have had all other health issues we consider important to the pet’s life addressed that we are able.
All incoming Dachshunds will be placed in temporary foster homes, where they will be evaluated while living indoors with the foster families in a safe and nurturing home environment, until such time as they are ready to be placed in a loving, adoptive, forever home.
A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
