Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Please note that I am still in foster, I cannot be met until the end of February.
From Foster mom:
He has been a gentleman.
He will sit most of the time for greeting with no barking.
Sit and Down are known, leave it is good in the hand not so good on the floor yet.
We have been feeding in the kennel for positive association. Using wait to set down the food dish and OK to release so he can eat without diving into the dish.
We have not been able to identify a signal yet for needing to go outside to potty but does use the washable puppy pads if I am not paying attention, and does pee and poo outside each time we take him out.
Leash walking is going well for a young pup.
Nail trimming went OK he didn't panic but a second person to help distract would be a good idea.
Stood still for being brushed.
He isn't afraid of our VC off or on, but moving is questionable.
He has picked up on patterns well.
Loves to cuddle on the couch with you.

More about this shelter
BENCHS was established in 1969 in Mankato, MN.
We serve city limits stray/unclaimed cats/dogs and personal owner surrenders.
We also work with Blue Earth county and other areas in MInnesota, including some Native American reservations when we are able to.
We have also developed relationships with several groups in Texas, Oklahoma, Florida and North Carolina to help the areas reduce their strays.
BENCHS often help other areas that have experienced natural disasters by taking in some of the animals located in those areas.
We have a heartworm positive dog program which enables us to help dogs who elsewhere would be put down.
