Rocco and Sadie are two adventurous puppies ready to bound into your heart and home! This dynamic duo was fortunately discovered by a compassionate Samaritan on Thanksgiving day, who generously opened their home to foster these precious pups. Since then, Rocco and Sadie have been thriving - growing bigger and stronger each day, their playful spirits and zest for life shining through.
At 15-18 weeks old, they're at that perfect stage where every day brings new discoveries and excitement.
Rocco, a handsome tawny brindle boy, tips the scales at a sturdy 35-37 lbs, while his beautiful chocolate brindle sister Sadie is a petite 28-30 lbs of pure puppy energy.
Their dedicated foster family has been working diligently on training, and these smart cookies are already mastering basic commands like sit, hold, heel, come, and crate. But don't let their studious side fool you - Rocco and Sadie are all puppy, full of curiosity, playfulness and occasional mouthiness as they investigate the big wide world around them.
They adore romping and wrestling with each other and their adult canine foster siblings, but do best in a home with plenty of space to run, play and burn off that boundless puppy energy.
Their ideal forever home would have a large yard and a family committed to plenty of playtime. At night, Rocco and Sadie settle in contentedly in their cozy crates, no doubt dreaming of the next day's adventures. The Bastrop Animal Control organization became a reality in 1998. We've grown since then and continue to do so as Bastrop County grows. Currently, we have 3 separate buildings containing a total of 90 large indoor/outdoor kennels and 8 play yards. We have 30 indoor cat kennels. We also have a 3 room cattery, that enables cats to live together in colony type environments until they find their forever home. If you have ever worked with or adopted a shelter pet, you know just how much they crave the attention and love we and our volunteers can provide and their eternal gratitude when they find their forever home at last.
