My story

My name is Rue Grace, and I’m a 2-3 year old Chihuahua mix with a personality that’s off the charts! I’m a perfect blend of calm and playful, and I can’t wait to bring joy to your life!

I weigh in at a petite 8.5 pounds, making me the perfect little companion to follow you around the house. My favorite things to do? Oh, where do I start? When I’m not busy being adorable, I absolutely love getting belly rubs and snuggling up on the couch with my humans. I also enjoy playing with all my squeaky toys (which I love to hoard in my cozy bed!) and playing and snuggling with the other pups in my foster home.

I’m a super happy, sweet, and loving girl, and my foster mom says that whoever adopts me is going to be REALLY lucky! Did I mention I’m house trained? Yep, I’m a little superstar!

Now, I do have a little backstory. Before I became an Angel, I had a rough patch and was hit by a car. It caused some permanent nerve damage in one of my paws, but don’t worry—I feel no pain and can run like a champ on three legs! I also gave birth to 2 adorable puppies who have been adopted into loving homes, so now it’s my turn.

I also have something called Heart Worms because my previous humans didn’t give me my monthly medication, but the good news is that I’m being treated and the Rescue will continue to cover the cost until I’m clear.

Their adoption process

Submit Application

Submit an adoption application at www.angelsrescue.org/adopt and a member of our Adoption Team will contact you for an interview.

2.
Meet the Pet

Our pets are located in foster homes. Once your application is approved, you will be connected with the foster family.

3.
Home Check

The foster family will do a brief home visit to ensure that it's a perfect match between family & pet!

4.
Pay Fee

Adoption fees range from $50 - $150 for cats and $150 - $300 for dogs. Specials and discounts may apply.

Sign Adoption Contract

Our team is available for support and referrals post adoption if you need it!

We ask that all pets and family members meet your potential new pet so that everyone can be sure they are the right fit!

Puppies and kittens under 4 months may only be adopted locally. Fully vetted and altered pets may be adopted out of state.
