Hi I’m Fruitcake! And I love warm hugs! And just about everything else in life too!
I’m 8 months old and Philly Bully Team got me from a shelter in SC, I pretty much grew up there and spent majority of my life in the shelter, so I’m still learning all there is to know about this great big world and all the things that I get to enjoy! So far my favorite things have been doggy friends, peanut butter, tennis balls (wow I LOVE those things!) babies, and hugs. I love giving hugs! My foster home has a 5 month old and a 1 year old and I am always on baby duty. I love to supervise diaper changes and I really love to wait by the high chair for some snacks from the baby.
My foster mom always tells people I have too much love for one dog, and it comes out when I meet new people and dogs. I’m so friendly but I get sooo excited to give people hugs that I’m a jumpy guy! We’re working hard on it. I don’t have a mean bone in my body, just too much love to contain. I also love other dogs! I love to chase and wrestle and share my toys! But I also get a little humpy when I first meet a dog (again, I know, too much love to give) so we’re working on that too. I’d love a home with another dog, or no dogs too! If I have a doggy sibling, they have to be okay with my cool dance moves while we get to know each other and then we’ll be the best of friends.
The vet said I’m an amazing guy! I am super healthy, and super friendly, and with a little bit of that yummy spray cheese they could do anything they wanted to me and I didn’t mind! I’ll do just about anything for some spray cheese. I don’t love when foster mommy cuts my nails, so we are practicing that one. I do really well for one paw at a time and then I need to get the heck out of that situation and try again later.
I’m fully crate trained and I haven’t had a single potty accident since coming to my forever home! Sometimes in my crate, my dog beds do this weird thing where they just kind of explode! I have no idea how that could be happening, definitely wasn’t me, but my foster mommy just uses comfy blankets and mats instead of the puffy beds for me and my weird exploding crate that definitely isn’t me shredding the beds. Definitely not.
