Horace here to say hello! He was here a couple of months ago as a stray and his owner came to get him. Now he is back as a chipped stray and looks like no one is coming this time. Horace deserves better. All these dogs do. We live in a world where so many dogs are treated like disposable things. Horace is easy to walk, sits for treats, and likes to play with toys and run! He has a beautiful smile but we don't blame him for not being in the mood to show us. Don't worry, we won't give up on you!

*Adoptions are walk-in 12-6 daily at 2741 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL
*The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID.
*All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs.
*Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
