My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Diamond is a 10-month-old Pit Bull mix who weighs about 43 pounds and is absolutely perfect! This tough little lady has been through a lot, but she’s bounced back beautifully, earning her the title of a true gem. Diamond is loving, playful, and always ready for fun. She adores toys, especially chewing on bones. Treats and food are the way to her heart, and her smarts make her highly trainable—she already knows “sit” and “shake.”

A car ride with Diamond is a dream; she curls up in the passenger seat, bonus points if you’ve got seat warmers (her favorite). Walks are another highlight for this leash-pro champ, and she does wonderfully meeting all kinds of people, though she might greet you with a little jump of excitement before settling down. She’s easily redirected and eager to please.

Diamond’s love for enrichment toys where she can hunt for snacks shows off her curious and clever side, and she’s a pro at bath time, walking right into the tub and standing calmly like a star. She’s also neat and tidy, keeping her kennel spotless. A volunteer and staff favorite, Diamond would love nothing more than to be your constant companion and shadow.

If you're looking for a sweet, playful, and endlessly lovable pup to brighten your days, Diamond is your girl! Her minimum adoption fee is $200 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
