My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Otis!
Hi, Otis!
Sweet, funny, floppy, smart OTIS!
This very good boi is looking for his furever home and happy ending.
Somehow, this perfect pup ended up on the mean streets of Central Texas, running with a pack of hooligan dogs, staying together for safety, and trying to survive the next day without being run over by cars or eaten by coyotes.
Fast-forward: After a good Samaritan coordinated an epic rescue mission, a pack of pups ended up in the San Marcos shelter.
So many of Otis' friends were adopted, but this gentle, delicate soul was NOT cut out for shelter life. He was scared and shut down, and no one wanted to look at just ANOTHER pointy black dog at ANOTHER shelter.
Fast forward AGAIN, and Otis' officially got his big break: Otis was pulled from the shelter and ended up in a loving foster home in (OF ALL PLACES) a BULLDOG rescue.
So, he's part bulldog, too (by family, if not by blood!)!
Otis has BLOSSOMED in his loving foster home.
He is SO SO SMART and is the PERFECT dog for an active family who wants a REAL DOG who can do all the things.
He WANTS to walk, run, PLAY, and LEARN.
He would LOVE another playful, active dog to call his own, and he is so handsome that he is 100% ready to be YOUR Instagram-famous dog!

Additional adoption info

Austin Bulldog Rescue is 100% foster-based, and does not have a shelter or facility where applicants can come meet dogs before applying. Meet and greets with a potential match will happen after an adoption application is approved. ABR is a matching rescue -- while our teams take dog preference into account, we ultimately match families to the dog best suited for their home and lifestyle. The more thoroughly you answer the interview questions, the better the matching experience on all sides!
