Her Story:

Stella loves running to look out the windows to see what’s going on. She prefers to find you for attention with a favorite lap or sleeping spot where being brushed and pet with Churu treats and love will make her day. She is sweet, quiet, independent, and likes play chasing plastic springs, balls and wand toys being able to jump high with her long tail flowing.

She is shy with her Alpha sister and does not want to compete so she backs away with a hiss. Her foster parent says she is like the Lion in Wizard of Oz trying to find her courage…

A few chaperoned outdoor romps in the backyard have been great but she has been an indoor cat so a quiet home for her alone or possibly with a non-dominant cat if introduced well could work.

She needs time to get adjusted to a new home and with the biggest golden eyes that look like planets, what do you think?

More about this rescue

Mission Statement
Fat Kitty City Humane Society is a non-profit 501(c)3 Corporation, dedicated to ending needless animal suffering, through spaying, neutering, socializing, adopting and other aggressive approaches.

Our objectives are:
Provide a "no-kill" sanctuary for unwanted, Feline AIDS positive or negative, abused, neglected, feral, tame, stray or lost pets.

When possible, each pet will be rehabilitated, socialized and adopted (with a microchip) to a good family.

Those pets that cannot be rehabilitated, will live out their lives in our sanctuary, in dignity. They will receive love, housing, food and veterinary care.

To spay or neuter every pet we receive, to reduce unnecessary suffering.

Provide reasonable space for each pet to live out a high quality of life (not to live out their lives in small cages with barely enough room to move around).

Provide relief from the weather by providing a heated shelter during cold weather, etc.

Provide stimulation. A yard with trees to climb, lawn and dirt to play in and toys to enjoy.
