My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Duke – The Sweetest Boy Looking for His Forever Home!

Say hello to Duke! This 9-month-old Lab mix is full of love and ready to become the perfect addition to your family. At just 36 pounds, Duke is playful, affectionate, and has the best temperament. He was rescued from the euthanasia list in Texas, thanks to the incredible team at Pep's Pals Rescue and a kind local foster.

Although Duke’s early life is a bit of a mystery, we do know that at some point, his tail was injured and may have been broken. But don’t let that fool you—Duke doesn’t let anything hold him back. He’s still as sweet, active, and full of life as any dog could be!

What we love most about Duke: He’s playful and loves to engage with his humans Excellent in the crate, so he’s a great companion for all family situations Quiet boy—he’s not one for excessive barking Ready to find his forever family to share all his love with!

If you're ready to give Duke the loving home he deserves, click the link below to apply. Transportation will be arranged from his foster home directly to yours, so all you need to do is open your heart and home to this wonderful boy.

***DUKE IS CURRENTLY IN SAN ANTONIO, TX, BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information.

Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Pep's Pals Rescue direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc.).

Our adoption fee is $400 plus health certificate ($50), transport ($200 for most locations) and spay/neuter deposit ($100). Your spay/neuter deposit will be returned when proof of spay/neuter is provided. This adoption fee includes all current basic vaccinations, deworming, microchip (with lifetime registration), fecal analysis, spay, and a heartworm test. All dogs are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a health certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of transport.

More about this rescue

Pep's Pals Rescue is committed to rescuing shelter & street dogs and cats then finding them forever homes. All dogs and cats deserve to live their lives showered with the love they deserve.
Pep's Pals is named after Pepper, a lab who gave so much love to the founder of Pep's Pals and her family. We carry on his legacy by loving and caring for the dogs & cats who need to know what it is like to be a part of a family. Pepper was kind to every human and fur friend he met. We believe that's how Pepper would want us to carry out our mission.
