My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Welcome, Howie!

This charming 5 1/2-year-old joins us from AHS-Popcorn, where he was adored by staff and volunteers. With his tall, lean frame and playful energy, we’re not quite sure what he’s mixed with, but we know he’s all heart!

Howie loves agility, attention, and pets. He’s a bit of a slobber machine, but his adorable personality makes up for it. He’s good with other dogs and would do best with older kids due to his size and energy.

A huge thank-you to our amazing volunteer, Donna, who picked him up, treated him to a burger and took him on a brisk walk in the park. Howie even snuck in a sweet kiss while she was driving—what a lovebug!

Howie is currently in boarding and hoping for a loving foster or forever home soon. He’s UTD on vaccinations, neutered, and will have a wellness exam with our vet. Don’t keep this handsome boy waiting—apply to foster or adopt him today at pittiesandpals.com!

Let’s Howie the home he deserves!

More about this rescue

Pitties and Pals Rescue, Inc. is (a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit). Our mission is to rescue dogs and educate the public. Although our main focus is the bully breed, we are committed to all dogs in need. We believe RESCUE involves a multitude of approaches that includes liberating dogs from at risk situations, whether in a shelter or with an owner in need of assistance. While adoption is always the ultimate goal, we believe transitioning into foster care allows for socialization and training that are key components to a successful placement.

Pitties and Pals volunteers are also committed to changing the negative public perception of the Bully Breed. As such, we welcome opportunities to heighten awareness and enhance education in a public forum through our personal stories and positive experiences.
