My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Léonie arrived at the Animal Rescue Network in September 2024 with her 5 kittens. Unfortunately, little Léonie and her babies were all sick (they had a bad cat cold!). They subsequently all developed ringworm and had to be placed in the shelter to receive the care they needed to recover. Once they were weaned, Léonie's kittens went back to their foster families, and the beautiful Léonie stayed at the shelter to be put up for adoption. She's been a great mom, but now it's up to her to find a good adoptive family! She's sweet and cuddly. She likes to be approached gently and loves to be petted. She's at ease with cats who are gentle like her, but not with others. She'd make a great one-off kitty. Léonie is young and likes to play when she's comfortable with her humans. Léonie is an adult cat, therefore the adoption fees for her are $290. She is sterilized, vaccinated, microchipped and negative for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and feline leukemia (FeLV). You will also be provided with health insurances for the first 6 weeks following adoption. You will also have access to the support of the adoption team for as long as you need it. You will also have access to a free 30 minutes video consultation during the first 3 months following the adoption with our cat behaviour consultant FelineGood ( https://www.felinegood.ca ).

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All new adoption homes are carefully screened to determine if they are suitable. There is an adoption fee that includes the sterilization, initial vaccination of every animal, testing for FIV and FeLV of all cats at the shelter, and a 21 days trial period. A contract is always signed between the ARN and the adopter for their protection. A follow-up by an ARN adoption coordinator is often done either by telephone or by visit, and we also offer help/cousel for the life of the cat.
