My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Adoption visits are by appointment only** If you see an animal you`re interested in, fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website https://everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-Pet

Molly is a sweet and loving dog with a playful side, though her unknown past makes her a bit cautious at first. She seems comfortable around other dogs here at the shelter. Molly would thrive best with dog-savvy adopters who can be patient and understanding as she adjusts to her new home. Molly is looking for a calm, secure environment where she can build trust and show her true, affectionate nature. If you’re an experienced dog owner ready to help her blossom with gentle guidance, Molly could be the perfect companion for you! She weighs 60 pounds.

Molly participated with the Wandering Rover program and we were told the following about her special outing: Walked along a river. Cuddled in the back seat of my car because it was cold! Have you ever thought to yourself, “ I want to add the sweetest and most beautiful dog to my family”???
Look no further… You have found her… you would be lucky to own this dog.

ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT

Our shelter is currently closed for general animal viewing, but we’ve still got awesome dogs, cats and other critters waiting for new families to come and adopt them. To help keep our staff, volunteers and community healthy, we are now providing adoptions by appointment. This enables us to comply with social distancing guidelines while still finding loving homes for the pets in our care.

How does this work?

First, check out our available animals online. If you see an animal you’re interested in, visit our website (www.everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-Pet) to complete an online adoption application.

Our staff will review your application and contact you to discuss the adoption. Please note that we receive many applications, and it may take up to a week before you are contacted.

Adoption appointments are set up using strict social distancing protocols, and many transactions are processed ‘curbside’ outdoors. Our staff will go over appointment details when they speak with you.

Renters bring rental pet policy at time of adoption. Not having the rental pet policy available may delay or nullify an adoption.

Animals are usually able to go home right away, so be prepared for your new pet to leave with you.

CATS
- Adult cats (over 6 months): $50
- Kittens (6 months and under): $125
- Two kittens adopted at the same time: $200

DOGS
- Adult dogs (over 6 months): $150
- Puppies (6 months and under): $350

SMALL ANIMALS & BIRDS
- Adoption fees vary based on species
