A25108 Luca is a brown and black colored, approximately 4-year-old, 74-pound, neutered male, German Shepherd.
He entered the shelter as an owner surrender on 01-18-2025 due to the fact he couldn’t afford the care for a pet. He was altered by our medical staff.
Luca is a friendly, eager and excited boy here at the shelter. Our staff describes him as hyper but very friendly. They say he is very well behaved, listens to all commands and loves affection. He was easy to leash and pretty well-behaved during walks. He has typical German Shepherd traits and did have a strong pull when he saw something of interest. But he listened well and took correction great. Very social and sweet with people. He has had some good training and will “sit” “shake” “stay” and “spin around” upon command. He shows aggression to other dogs, especially if they are barking or aggressive to him. He loved toys and running in the play yard. Luca will be a fun-loving family member in his new forever home.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
