My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Update - Thyme received his final heartworm injections this week. He will need about a month of quiet time while the medicine does its job. Like all dogs, he will need to be kept on monthly heartworm preventative the rest of his life, but will live a normal life now!!

This adorable, affectionate, loving, silly, playful, snuggly boy wants nothing more than to have a home to call his own. He is so friendly, likes to lean in and loves a good booty scratch too. He walks very nicely on a leash and well just needs a new family who won't let him down again. He is already neutered and up to date on his vaccines and believed to be 5 to 7 yrs of age and a Bulldog Mix.

From his previous foster before he came back for HW treatment "He's such a great dog. He gives kisses, will speak and give paw for treats too. Thyme's a great snuggler and loves sleeping in bed with us. He sits by the front door when he wants to go out and if he is ignored he comes over and taps me with his paw."

He did live with other dogs in his foster home but a meet and greet with your furry family members is suggested. His adoption fee is $120.00 cash only. Please stop by the shelter to meet him or give us a call to talk about his needs. 440-286-8135.

More about this shelter

The Geauga County Dog Shelter takes in stray dogs throughout Geauga County. By law we have to hold a dog three business days - or 72 hrs - before we are able to adopt them into new loving homes.

Every dog is vaccinated, heart worm tested, and spayed/neutered. All adoptions are on a first come, first to adopt basis. Adoption fees range from $120.00-$200.00. We accept cash only please.

This Shelter is not your typical shelter. This Shelter has the most amazing staff, volunteers and community. This Shelter truly gets to know each and every Visitor.

Excited is an understatement with every adoption. It jumps up and down and even cries a little when watching a former Visitor take that ride home.

We do a whole lot with very little. If you would like to know what special is, please come meet us during adoption hours. We would love to show you around.
