Please meet Winnow. She is believed to be a Chocolate Lab mix and about a year old. She is a very active and energetic girl who is hoping to find a family who feels the same way!

Winnie is up to date on her vaccines and will be spayed as part of her adoption.
She is ready to meet you. We do not know about other dogs cats or kids but we are very happy to learn with you.

We encourage the whole family to come and meet the potential new family member. We also highly encourage and may require any current dogs in the household come for a meet and greet.

Our hours are Friday through Tuesday, 10am to 3pm each day. Wednesdays 10am to 1pm. Closed Thursdays and most major holidays.

More about this shelter

The Geauga County Dog Shelter takes in stray dogs throughout Geauga County. By law we have to hold a dog three business days - or 72 hrs - before we are able to adopt them into new loving homes.

Every dog is vaccinated, heart worm tested, and spayed/neutered. All adoptions are on a first come, first to adopt basis. Adoption fees range from $120.00-$200.00. We accept cash only please.

This Shelter is not your typical shelter. This Shelter has the most amazing staff, volunteers and community. This Shelter truly gets to know each and every Visitor.

Excited is an understatement with every adoption. It jumps up and down and even cries a little when watching a former Visitor take that ride home.

We do a whole lot with very little. If you would like to know what special is, please come meet us during adoption hours. We would love to show you around.
