My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello Northeast People! I’m Midas, a handsome golden Pitbull with a lucky horseshoe pattern on the back of my neck (see picture). I’m 2 years old, weigh 45 lbs and I was sitting at the NY ACC waiting for my execution day when 4 Little Paws Rescue saved my life and placed me in a foster home. Turns out I am a happy boy with an average energy level and I make friends easily. I get along with other dogs, but they don't really interest me. I’m more interested in people, playtime, tennis balls, and squeaky toys. I’m affectionate and love snuggling with my people, getting my ears rubbed, sharing kisses, and sometimes running zoomies with a huge smile on my face as I’m zooming by! I’m well-behaved, rarely bark, housebroken, and crate-trained. I love going for walks to the park and curling up in my favorite chair for a nap. My foster mom says I’m a very good boy looking for love and will bring joy to any family. I’m in Connecticut so you can easily meet me, fall in love, and take me home!

* 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Additional adoption info

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
