Meet ROXY!
• Female
• Rat Terrier mix
• 4 years old
• 23 pounds
• Medium energy
• Good with dogs
• Great in a harness
• Appears to be potty trained
As sweet and stout as a strawberry shortcake, Roxy has a charm that could melt the hardest of hearts. Her favorite pastime? Cuddling! And this is no exaggeration. But don’t confuse her affection for clinginess; Roxy strikes the perfect balance between being your shadow and doing her own thing...or finding someone else to smother with love. She’s a natural fit for families with kids, as her gentle, patient nature is free of sass or rough edges. Roxy’s also proving she’s more than just snuggles, acing her training at the rescue and showing off her smarts. Pick Roxy in time for February -- she'd love to be your Valentine!

More about this rescue
Highland Lakes Canine Rescue was founded in 1999 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization by a group of folks who wanted to rescue homeless dogs from the Central Texas region and care for their health, rehabilitation and then to ultimately find these dogs a forever home uniting them with a newly adopted family. Initially HLCR started out as a foster only organization but over the 17 years has grown into it's own location with a kennel facility, outdoor pens, walking trails and staff and resident caretaker. An active and passionate group of staff and volunteers works tirelessly supporting HLCR and its mission.
