Are you looking for a cat for your cat? Or perhaps want to adopt two (or three, or four…) TCR kitties? Mochi is the friend you and your cat have been asking for!
Mochi is a shy boy and a bit uncertain of humans, but he has come a long way and after a while in foster care, he learned that belly rubs are actually quite nice! He thrives with feline company. He has the power to make the laziest of cats come out and play a little, and he will roll around and give the cutest little chirps at them. He is very playful and loves chasing wand toys and wrestling. This boy has silly energy and will crack you up every day with his antics and his curiosity! Although he is fearful, he will always be around and tends to be in the same room as you. Especially if he has a chance to convince you to play with him!
In the afternoons, Mochi likes to nap and slow blink at you and sometimes he will lay on the same bed/couch as you if he feels safe. He is an expressive and vocal kitty, and will tell you what he wants. With time you will understand what his many distinguished meows mean. :)
Fun fact, Mochi may be shy, but he will not run away from a camera! Well, of course, he is always ready for a picture with his tuxedo and cute socks. Mochi would do best in a calmer home with older children, and with humans and cats to play with. He needs patient adopters who understand that he will take a while to decompress, feel safe, and start trusting the new humans. He may take a while to accept pets from new people, but he is not an aggressive kitty at all and will just run away. Though he always, always comes back if you have churu or feather toys. A confident cat helps him understand that humans are okay. He is currently being forested with Bright Heart, who absolutely loves humans, and they are quite a pair together! They love running around and wrestling.
Mochi is about 1 year old. He has been neutered, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested negative for FIV and FELV. Apply for Mochi today!

Additional adoption info
We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.
Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
