Handsome Blue wants to gaze lovingly at you with his soulful, gorgeous eyes!

Blue is 5 years old and weighs a mere 41 lbs. Blue is friendly with people and great at meeting strangers. Blue is also dog friendly, having previously lived with a female dog for years. In fact, he missed her terribly when his previous owners rehomed her. When stressed, Blue will chase his tail a lot. Because he missed his sister and had way to verbalize his feelings, Blue spun - and was subsequently dumped at the shelter for it. Thankfully, Blue was rescued from the At Risk (for euthanasia) list. Now, Blue is currently being fostered in the Bronx (transportation provided for approved adopters). Blue is fully vetted, neutered, micro chipped and ready to start his life with a real forever family!

AmsterDog Rescue does not have its own facility. Instead, we rely on fosters to care for our beloved animals. Our available animals may change depending on your location and we do transport animals for adoptions within a reasonable distance. Since you will possibly be speaking with and meeting a foster directly, an application must be filled out prior to meet and greets.

AmsterDog Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization comprised entirely of volunteers that is dedicated to the plight of abandoned animals and those at-risk in shelters through no fault of their own. All donations received provide necessities for placement such veterinary care, rehabilitative training, supplies, transportation, and other related expenses.
