My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Poppy, affectionately known as Poptart! This 5-month-old bully breed mix weighs about 25 pounds and is as sweet as her nickname suggests. Poppy is crate-trained (and sleeps through the night like a champ!) and is almost fully house-trained. Her love for treats makes her a quick learner, and she’s already mastering basic commands.

Poppy is currently fostered with other dogs and does great with her foster sibling, showing excellent social skills and taking cues like a pro. While she hasn’t been around children or cats, her adaptable nature suggests she’d adjust well with the right introductions.

Poppy’s favorite pastimes include playing tug, chewing on a good bone, and, above all, snuggling. She’s the ultimate cuddle buddy, always ready to curl up next to you while you work, read, or enjoy a cozy nap on a rainy day.

This bright and affectionate pup would thrive in a home committed to providing her with mental and physical stimulation while continuing her journey to becoming an upstanding canine citizen. If you’re looking for a loving, playful companion, Poppy might be your perfect match!

Additional adoption info

Please visit www.hopeanimals.org/adopt to learn more about our adoption process and to complete an adoption application.

Adoption Fee includes spay/neuter*, microchipping, up-to-date vaccinations, and current heartworm and flea/tick preventatives.

*If pet is not old enough to be spayed or neutered prior to adoption, a $50.00 credit will be paid to your vet at the time of surgery.

We require a veterinary reference for current pet owners, and pets must be up to date on vaccines and heartworm preventative. We meet potential adopters in their homes and introduce the pets to the family's current pets to see if it is a good match. A copy of our adoption contract can be requested via email.
