My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Meadow!

A fun fact about Meadow is that she came to Misfit Mountain with her brother named, Nour, who is also available for adoption!

Meadow is aged around 9-10 months old, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. She is very kind, docile, and would do best with a respectful pup to help he build her confidence. Occasionally you can find Meadow quietly playing with a toy or exploring her backyard. She is a mellow girl who would thrive with a family who can help her come out of her shell!

More about this rescue

Misfit Mountain is a foster-based animal rescue in the Greater Asheville area helping dogs, cats, pigs, chickens, and small animals find their forever home.

Our Story:
At Misfit Mountain we don’t just offer another chance at life, we offer our animals a home, a place where bellies are full, love is bountiful, and nose boops are the usual. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization serving the Western North Carolina area. Some animals just pass through until they are healthy and well enough to find their forever home. Others stay awhile, sometimes forever. We are a no kill, all love, and one beautiful mountain of loveable misfits.

Mission: We accept misfits of all shapes and sizes and are committed to providing the best quality of life and care for homeless animals in Western North Carolina.

Vision: We strive to create a no-kill animal community unless deemed medically required due to quality of life or safety concerns. We believe no animal should ever be euthanized due to financial or spacing limitations.
