Meet Lucia, a sweet and loving girl with a heart full of hope. She was picked up as a stray by Columbus Animal Care and Control, struggling with severe skin issues and hair loss that left her feeling self-conscious. But thanks to some proper food, lots of love, and care, her hair is growing back, and she’s starting to feel beautiful again.

Lucia is a happy and affectionate dog who loves being around people. She’s so eager to show her love that she’ll try to jump right into your arms! With her sweet, gentle nature, she’s sure to bring warmth and joy to any home. Lucia is ready to continue her journey of recovery and would love to find a family who will appreciate her loving spirit and give her the attention she deserves.

The adoption fee for our animals varies and is dependent on many factors including age, size, behavior and medical condition.

Setting higher fees for some animals enables us the ability to put funds towards our elderly and "special needs" animals that would otherwise not make it.

PAWS Columbus, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to prevent overpopulation and suffering of companion animals, to teach kindness and responsibility toward them, and to promote the remarkable capacity of pets to enrich human lives through pet-assisted therapy programs.
