My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Arnie
Domestic Shorthair, Born in April 2023, Black and White, Neutered male

Meet Arnie: The Spunky, Playful Gentleman Ready to Find His Forever Home!

Hey there, I’m Arnie! I’ve been through my fair share of challenges, especially after being abandoned outside, but I’m a fighter and ready for the next chapter of my life. I’m friendly, calm, and still learning to trust, but I’ve got an adventurous spirit and a heart full of hope. Every day, I’m taking new steps toward finding my forever home, where I can be treated with all the love and kindness I deserve.

I’m a curious little explorer, always checking out everything around me. There’s never a dull moment when I’m around—I’m constantly discovering new things, whether it’s a shiny object, a cozy corner, or a hidden treat! I love attention and will happily seek you out for pets, but I’ll also tell you when I’ve had enough. If I get a little overstimulated, I’ll give you a polite “hey, that’s enough for now” in my gentlemanly way. No hard feelings, just a reminder that I need a little space to recharge.

I’m spunky and playful at heart, always up for a gentle toy session or a fun game, but I also know how to relax and enjoy the simple things. Whether it’s lounging in a sunny spot or watching the world go by from a comfy perch, I’m always appreciating the little moments in life.

When I’m comfortable and feel safe, I’ll happily curl up in your lap for a cozy cuddle session. I’m a gentleman after all, and I know how to appreciate a good snuggle when it’s the right time.

I’m adjusting well and just need a home where I’ll be treated with patience and love, where I can continue to grow and become the best version of myself. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, and curious companion with a dash of spunk and a heart full of gratitude, I’m your guy! Let’s start this journey together—I promise you, I’m worth the wait!

Our fees include a full medical exam by a veterinarian. This includes a Feline Leukemia and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) test for cats, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, deworming and Spay/Neuter. Dogs receive a Heartworm Check, Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, Canine Flu Vaccine, deworming, and Kennel Cough preventative. Our modest adoption fees do not cover the procedures and vet work that we provide the animals. We fundraise to make up the difference. Any ongoing medical needs that C.A.R.E. is aware of are explained fully, (including daily medicine costs), to the potential adopter, and become the responsibility of the adopter.
