My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Location: NC
An Apple a day keeps the doctor away so you need me! Hi everyone, I’m Apple, a stubby tailed female 1 ½ year old Australian Cattle Dog. I’m from the peachy state of Georgia where I was found wandering around. I love to play ball, go walking and hiking. My herding ball is my favorite toy to play with. I know I’d excel at agility, dock diving or any athletic activity you’d like to participate in. You. Me. Exercise. That’s how I will keep the doctor away. I do like to chill out with my human in the evenings. I need an active human and/or a fenced yard would be great for me as I do like to sunbathe. I can only dream of a farm with cows and horses.

I love two of my foster siblings. Nothing like a good game of bitey face or a wrestling match. I am dog selective so slow introductions are needed. I am crate trained and very food motivated. We’re still working on house training, leash walking and basic obedience so I need a human who will continue my training. I will be the Apple of your eye! I am spayed and utd on shots and preventatives. I weigh #35. If you’re interested in me please email my foster mom at gina_ms65@yahoo.com

More about this rescue

We are an all volunteer group that rescues Australian Cattle Dogs. Our dogs reside in foster homes until they are adopted
Every year, thousands of Australian Cattle Dogs find themselves homeless through no fault of their own. Although the reasons are diverse, the result is the same. Healthy, adoptable dogs face euthanasia in shelters.

The Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association rescues ACDs in shelters from Maine to Georgia and gives these dogs a fresh start with a loving family. Our foster home volunteers welcome the dogs into their homes where they live as members of the family. During the time in foster care, our volunteers determine what kind of forever home will be the right one for each dog.
