Wasabi is a 2 year old Miniature Schnauzer x Poodle mix who is ready to be the perfect side for his forever family! Wasabi was rescued from the shelter with some of his culinary companions. This dude was a dirty shag rug who needed a good bath and some serious grooming. We knew we could give him the makeover he needed so we scooped him up and after a day at the spa he was looking like a brand new dog! Wasabi weighs 11 pounds and is just as handsome as can be. If you love sushi, come and add some Wasabi to your order today!

Wasabi is a loving and attentive pup who is looking to find his perfect forever humans! He is a total Velcro dog who wants to be wherever his humans are, especially because that means they can shower him in scratches and belly rubs. Wasabi loves to show off his NBA level hops and he can jump several feet in the air with ease which always makes everyone laugh. Wasabi is the perfect level of energy for any family. He loves his naps but he would also love to get out and explore the world with his humans! He even has a party trick where his ear is always folded which has the magical effect of making every eye in the room drift his way. Much like a cat, he also loves to hang out on top of the couch as he supervises you going about your day. Wasabi just wants to live life showering you in love and getting his belly rubbed. This pooch is ready to live his best life by your side!

Wasabi wakes up around 6 AM and heads outside for a potty break before participating in some playtime with the resident dogs. He gets breakfast around 8 AM and then spends the rest of the morning playing, exploring the yard, and taking some naps. He gets a treat before his humans have lunch. He loves zooming around in the yard so he gets tons of zoomies throughout the day, much to the amusement of his foster humans. He has dinner at 5:30 PM and then spends some time playing with the human members of his foster family. After he starts to unwind from the day, he heads out for one last potty and then he goes into his crate for the night.

Wasabi lives with two resident dogs and loves to play all day with them. He is comfortable on leash but would benefit from some additional training. Wasabi is house trained and crate trained, and he knows how to use a dog door. Wasabi would love to find a home where his humans are ready to shower him in love. If you’ve been hoping to find a best friend who just wants to take on the world with you, adopt Wasabi!

Wasabi is an option for homes who have owned a dog in the past. Kids should be over the age of 7.

More about this rescue

We are passionate folks who love dogs and love people! We strive to make the most appropriate match between human and canine. Because our dogs live in foster homes we know about their temperament and personality and therefore can help families and individuals decide if the dog is a good match or not. We are excited to help people find the right pooch for them and look forward to meeting great folks and welcoming them into the DPS Family.
