Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I’d like to think that Vision got his name because he’s a sight for sore eyes, or it may be because of his alluring brown eyes! Vision is a three-year-old 46 pound yellow Lab/Carolina dog that was surrendered to the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 1/21. The reason given was they had too many animals. Quite often when this is the reason the dog has not had much socialization. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how extremely affectionate Vision is. When I sat down without even calling him, he came to put his head on my lap. He didn’t leave my side. It’s obvious he’s seeking love and friendship. He would most likely be a very loyal companion. His ribs are showing so he sure could use some kibbles. With coaxing he sits for treats, but because he’s so hungry he doesn’t always take them gently. He walks OK on a leash without pulling. There’s a possibility he’s housebroken because he kept his kennel clean, and it was obvious he had held it for some time. He didn’t have a problem meeting other dogs. He’s very gentle, compliant, sweet and charming. He’s too big for an apartment. He would love to have a yard to get out in to get some fresh air and then come back in and spend quality time with his new family.
