Hi! My name is Valentine! I am a loving, calm, and playful puppy looking for my furever home. Is it you? Let me tell you a bit about myself. Firstly, I am small now because I am only two months old, but I swear, with how much I want to eat, I hope I will grow up to be big and strong. I'm being fostered with my sister Rose, which is great, because she comes to me to help her calm down, and she is an amazing play partner who keeps me happy and occupied most of the day. I like some alone time too, not just from her, but from my human foster parents as well. When I am awake, my eyes are always watching to see whats next, and my nose is sniffing hard to smell the world around me. I will whine occasionally if I want to be played with or cuddled, but I am learning to be patient! I am almost perfect at knowing how hard to nibble to show that I am playing, and will often roll onto my back and show my belly so that you know we are playing. I am a calm pup for someone my age, but I love running back and forth when we explore puppy-proofed areas of the house
I am a young puppy with a soft personality full of relaxation, play, curiosity, and cuddles. I always want to be held, but as long as I have my sister in the playpen with me, I have a buddy to keep me company and play-fight, so I’m very happy most of the time. I’m still using pee pads and getting the hang of that. I particularly love tug-of-war, and let my sister win a lot, so she can feel strong, like I am. Bathtime is not my favorite, but I handle it with only a little whining and wiggling as long as there are treats. I am teething on everything, like all puppies do, but I do it pretty gently for the first few minutes if it's a new toy to see how strong it is. But I especially love to eat my three meals a day; mealtime is my favorite!
The loud noises of the MTA don’t bother me at all, and I love riding in the backpack with my sister as we explore the city from up high, as long as we have coats on.
I sleep a lot, and enjoy using my sister as a cover (well, she uses me as a pillow, and I love cuddling, so I don't mind) during my 2-4 naps and nighttime sleep. I would probably love to be in a home with other dogs as I love my sister so much. I haven’t met any cats or kids yet. I have wanted to interact with other dogs when I pass them by and I am in my foster mom's arms. I am still learning the boundaries of being a playful puppy but I am working hard on basic obedience! I can't wait to find my furever home!
